FreshFoss
Be sure to have top-quality feed; add FreshFoss, before the feed temperature begins to rise. FreshFoss reduces heat build-up after mixing the TMR ration. This is particularly important in moist TMR rations and during warm periods.
FreshFoss is a dry acid product consisting of a special combination of salts from organic acids. It reduces heating in TMR and continues to work when placed on the feed table. This enhances feed quality through reduced growth of harmful bacteria and mold. Protects against loss of dry matter and nutrients. An inevitable consequence of adding water to the feed ration during hot weather conditions.
- Reduces spoilage in feed rations
- Particularly important during warm and humid weather conditions
- FreshFoss maintains feed palatability
- Noncorrosive on mixer wagons
- Nontoxic, completely biodegradable
- HACCP not required
EFFECT OF VARIOUS ADDITIVES FOR STABILISATION OF TMR
The chart shows the number of hours it takes for the temperature in the feed to rise by 2.5°C, relative to chamber temperature.
Test results: Stability of TMR can be improved
FreshFoss Premium was the only product to significantly increase the aerobic stability of TMR. The control TMR was stable for 8 hours. TMR treated with Propionic acid, Sodium benzoate or Salvana TMR were similar to control with 1114 h. Only FreshFoss Premium showed a substantial improvement (p < 0.05) in aerobic stability, keeping the ration stable for 24 hours.

Dosage:
TMR / Silage: 0.2 2 kg FreshFoss per ton feed.
Grain conservation: 1-3 kg FreshFoss per ton
On top of open areas in bunkers: 0.25 kg FreshFoss/m2
Use:
Need varies according to temperature, moisture and quality of feed. Start with 0.5 kg FreshFoss per ton feed. Increase the dosage at high temperatures and/or by low feed quality.
