Kani-Stopp

Modern genetics support maximum growth rates. Current feeding recommendations for replace-ment gilts aim to limit growth rates to allow development of a strong foundation, but might trigger unwanted behavior due to physiological nutrient deficiencies.

The farm climate (drafts, hazardous gases, etc.), stocking density and nutrient strategies can lead to unwanted behavior such as tail, flank and ear biting, which has a negative impact on the animal’s well-being and leads to poor farm profitability. The wounds make animals sensitive to infections and the productivity of all animals suffer.Kani-Stopp stabilizes and calms down animals in stressful situations.

Kani-Stopp is designed to support the metabolic health of pigs through a mix of essential ingredients and bioactive additives. It includes magnesium acetate and magnesium oxide, which are important for the enzyme function, energy production, and muscle function. Iron (II) sulfate monohydrate is essential for hemoglobin production, aiding oxygen transport and energy metabolism. Citric acid improves taste and helps absorb important minerals like magnesium and iron. The product also contains DL-alpha-tocopherol (Vitamin E), which acts as an antioxidant to protect cells and support the immune function and overall health.

Dosage:

In case of problems,  Kani-Stopp should be used in doses of  5-10 g per animal/day for 5 days or mixed with feed, 5 kg/ton. 

Use:

We recommend supplementing Kani-Stopp 2-3 days before a potential stressful situation, such as transfer to another stable,  or transportation, etc.
