Stalosan F

Less pathogenic pressure allows the body to make optimum use of the genetic potential, being able to use nutrients for production, instead of activating, building and running the immune system to fight infections.

Conventional hygiene powders for resting areas usually have an alkaline pH ranging from 9 to 13, often due to high limestone or hydrated lime content. Such alkalinity can weaken the skin’s defense mechanisms and is not recommended for use in animal housing. To counteract high pH levels in animal facilities, it is essential to use a bedding product with a low pH. Stalosan F, with its pH of 3.5 and mineral acids, helps neutralize alkalinity in the animal environment, preventing skin breakdown and strengthening animals’ natural defenses against infections.

Conducting insemination in a clean and safe environment is essential for achieving optimal production results. When used in the service area, Stalosan F improves environmental conditions, leading to a notable increase in insemination rates:

3% increase in conception rate
5% increase in conception rate on return
3% decrease in replacement rate

Preventing respiratory diseases in sows is crucial because it greatly impacts their performance and can often lead to culling or mortality. Stalosan F has demonstrated effectiveness against Pasteurella  Multocida, one of the leading causes of pneumonia in growing pigs.
