X-Zelit

X-Zelit has shown positive results in maintaining higher blood calcium levels in fresh cows, reducing the need for supplemental calcium boluses. As low blood calcium concentration leads to multiple problems related to muscle and immune functions, focusing on dry cow nutrition is key to improve onset of lactation as well as a longer and healthier life. Hypocalcemia potentially increases overall farm mortality rate as profitability decreases and likelihood of culling cows increases. X-Zelit supports cow longevity by addressing multiple metabolic concerns, thereby promoting successful lactation and long-term productivity. In addition to the positive metabolic impact of X-Zelit, studies emphasise the importance of effective milk fever management, particularly since calving-related complications can lead to reduced reproductive efficiency and increased culling rates on dairy farms.

Studies have identified reproductive issues as one of the main reasons for culling or selling a dairy cow. By improving metabolic health and averting postpartum disorders, X-Zelit indirectly promotes reproductive performance. Cows experiencing fewer metabolic challenges after calving exhibit a quicker return to estrus and higher fertility rates. This improvement in reproductive efficiency fosters more regular calving intervals and extended periods of productivity, thereby enhancing longevity in dairy cattle.
