With consistent treatment and prevention, dairy farmers can effectively control Mortellaro's disease. A one-year practical experiment conducted by the German veterinarians and hoof experts Dr. med. vet. Andrea Fiedler, Dr. med.vet. Charlotte Kröger and Dr. med.vet. The same study results were further analysed and published in 2024 in Journal of Dairy Science. Here, it was found that using HooFoss led to a reduction in both active and non-active digital dermatitis lesions, suggesting its potential as a useful tool for managing hoof health in dairy farms.
The study contributes to the growing evidence that HooFoss can be an important part of the hoof care strategies in managing digital dermatitis in dairy farming.
