Lactoval Liquid

Lactoval Liquid is a powdered supplementary of energy dense feed containing vitamins (A, D3, E, and B), electrolytes, yeast cells and rumen pH stabilising substances. Cow vitality improves, acidic rumen environment is regulated and fluctuation in energy supply before onset of lactation is minimised.

  • Reduces loss of fluid and electrolytes
  • Stabilise the rumen pH

Convalescence right after calving

From 12 hours before and until calving, feed and water intake decreases. Due to the loss of fluid, the cows need water immediately after calving. As a result of the low feed intake, the blood sugar level and calcium content in the blood decrease. At the same time, the need for calcium increases sharply at the time of birth due to the production of colostrum.

The low rumen filling leads to a drop in rumen pH and thus increased acidification. This increases the risk of abomasal displacement.

By adding Lactoval Liquid to the water, cow hydration is combined with a boost of energy.

Dosage:

  • 500 g of Lactoval Liquid dissolved in 12.5 to 15 litres of lukewarm water
  • 40 g per litre for solution as drench

Use:

For free consumption in a bucket immediately after calving. This process should be repeated until 25 litres of Lactoval Liquid drink have been consumed. It can also be administered
as a drench with 40 g per litre directly after calving in combination with propylene glycol
